MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS

Chapter 1 Objectives
Article 1  These regulations are formulated with a view of strengthening the administration of members of the International Shaolin Wushu Expert Association (hereinafter to as ISWEA),and to promote its healthy and orderly development.

Chapter 2 Members
Article 2  Members of ISWEA are classified into Unit Members and Individual Members.
2.1 Unit Members
All martial arts organizations like kungfu schools, training centers, clubs,etc are welcome to apply for admission to be an unit member of ISWEA only if they were approved by local administrative departments.
2.2 Individual members
Those Shaolin kungfu professionals, practitioners,  enthusiasts, who acknowledged the chapter of ISWEA, may apply for individual members of ISWEA.

Chapter 3 Admission
Article 3  Unit Members shall meet the following requirements:
3.1 The Unit shall acknowledge the chapter of ISWEA;
3.2 The Unit shall have an integrated management system, a fixed teaching place and more than 50 registered students;
3.3 The Unit shall exercise the rights and duties of members;
3.4 The Unit shall be a juridical association, subject to be approved by local authorities, with a legal person who would be responsible for civil liability.

Article 4  Individual Members shall meet the following requirements:
4.1 The applicants shall acknowledge the chapter of ISWEA;
4.2 The applicants shall exercise the rights and duties of a member;
4.3 The applicants shall pay membership dues on time.

Article 5  Admission Procedures
5.1 Unit Applicants shall submit applications directly to the headquarters of ISWEA, by filling up an application form and submitting related documents, which would be examined and approved by the Committee for Membership Qualification;
5.2 Individual applicants shall submit their applications to the local Unit Members of ISWEA.The application would be examined and approved by the local branch of Committee for Membership Qualification and reported to headquarters for the record.

Chapter 4 Rights and Obligations
Article 6  Rights of Unit Members:
6.1 Representative of Unit Members would participate in the congress of ISWEA on behalf of the region;
6.2 To participate in the formulation and revision of constitution, examine and approve work agenda of ISWEA;
6.3 To supervise the daily work of ISWEA, to provide critical view and suggestions;
6.4 To participate in kungfu performances, competitions, research, training and other activities held by the ISWEA.
6.5 To host International Shaolin Wushu competitions and other activities of the ISWEA;
6.6 To have the qualification of holding Shaolin Wushu Duan upgrading exams;
6.7 To be priority access to the data of ISWEA, such as information, textbooks, technical guidance, certificates, souvenirs, etc;
6.8 To provide paid service for local kungfu students;
6.9 Free to withdraw.

Article 7  Obligations of Unit Members:
7.1 To comply with the constitution and maintain the reputation of ISWEA.
7.2 To implement the regulation and complete the work commissioned, support and actively participate in the competitions or other activities organized by ISWEA.
7.3 To actively apply for hosting the international activities,such as performances, competitions, researches, training,etc.
7.4 To promote the development of Shaolin Wushu in local place, improve the technical and theoretical level, and strengthen exchange with other units of ISWEA.
7.5 To recruit and provide services for individual members.
7.6 To submit annual work plan on time and accept the professional guidance and inspection from the headquarter of ISWEA.

Article 8  Rights of the Individual Member
8.1 To be recommended to attend in the Congress of ISWEA;
8.2 To give criticism and suggestions on the work of ISWEA and Unit Members;
8.3 To take part in the Shaolin Duan Upgrading Exams and get Duan grade;
8.4 To take part in the activities organized by ISWEA and Unit Members
8.5 To be priority access to the data of ISWEA, such as information, textbooks,technical guidance, certificates, souvenirs,etc.
8.6 To be elected to participate in the corresponding level of Shaolin Wushu Competition around the globe.
8.7 To enjoy special treatment when come to Shaolin Temple in China for visiting or training.
8.8 Free to withdraw.

Article 9 The Obligations of Individual Members
9.1 Comply with the constitution and regulations of ISWEA.
9.2 Implement the regulation, complete the work commissioned, support and actively participate in the competitions or other activities organized by ISWEA.
9.3 Care and support the development of Shaolin Wushu, actively participate in the Wushu activities;.
9.4 Maintain the reputation of Shaolin Wushu.
9.5 Submit annual work plan on time and consciously accept the professional guidance and inspection from the headquarters of ISWEA.

Chapter 5 Dues
Article 10  All members of ISWEA must pay membership dues.
Article 11  Fee Standards
11.1 Member units shall pay annual dues of US$50.
11.2 Individual members shall pay annual dues of US$30.
Article 12 Time and Way of Payment
12.1 Unit members shall pay membership dues yearly since the application is approved, during December 1st to December 15th.
12.2 Individual members shall pay membership dues for two years to local unit member since the application is approved. Renew the membership every two years and pay another dues for next two years.
12.3 Unit members shall transfer the dues to the headquarter of ISWEA,twice per year, June 1st to 20th and December 1st to 20th.
Articles 13 Use of the Dues
13.1 Membership dues are used to cover the expenditure of the work and support the development of Shaolin Wushu, and shall not be used for salary and welfare for personnel.

Chapter 6 Registration and Management
Article 14  Unit members shall make the annual registration from December 1st to December 31st by submitting registration materials and annual work summary and the next year work plan.
Article 15 Individual members shall make registration every 2 years in the authorized local unit members. Unit members shall reported the registration and transfer dues to the headquarter respectively in June and December.
Article 16  Membership would be suspended without registration and paying membership dues.

Chapter 7  Award and Punishment
Article 17 ISWEA would award the members for outstanding achievements
17.1 A honorary title of advanced unit would be awarded to the unit members on the outstanding performance in recruiting and serving individual members;
17.2 A honorary title of advanced individual members would be awarded on his significant contribution to the development of the Shaolin martial arts and a Special Contribution Award will be awarded if he makes a special contribution,
Article 18  ISWEA would give penalty for violation of regulations
18.1 The Membership would be temporarily suspended in case of the following conditions
18.1.1 Not Pay membership dues on time.
18.1.2 Not make renewing registration.
18.1.3 Violate the constitution and other relevant provisions of ISWEA and make adverse effects.
18.2 Rights and Obligations would be stopped during the membership suspension.

Chapter 8 Withdraw
Article19 Member of ISWEA has rights and freedom for withdrawal from the association;
19.1 Unit members shall notify the withdrawal in writing;
19.2 Individual members shall submit the withdrawal application to the local unit members.
Article 20 Rights and obligations would be stopped after withdraw.

Chapter 9  Supplementary Provisions
Article 21 All unit members shall announce its office address, contact information and charge account through the official website of ISWEA.
Article 22 In case the provisions of unit members are inconsistent with these, all these provisions shall prevail.
Articles 23 ISWEA reserves the rights to interpret and modify this provision.
