For whom
Students age between 7-20, with or without martial arts experience are all welcomed. While we encourage the teachings of Kungfu to strengthen and revitalize one's body, we also encourage the calming and contemplating of one's mind by seeking stillness within movement.
What we teach
Barehanded - Shaolin Shadow Boxing, Short Combat, Baduanjin, Yijinjing, The Child's Exercises, The Elderly's Child's Exercise, Imitative Boxing (scorpion, tiger, hawk, mantis,snake, etc), Xingyi (Heart-and-Mind), the Lesser and Greater Hong Boxing, Pao (Cannon) Boxing, Drunken Boxing, Luohan Boxing, Tongbi Boxing, Qigong, TaiChi, San Da, etc.
Weapons - Cudgel, Broadsword, Spear, Hammer, Shovel, Double Broadswords, Long Broadsword, Ghost-Head Broadsword, Wolf-Teeth Club, Three-section Staff, Nine-section Whip, etc.

Every summer from July 1st ~September 1st ( Different classes duration of 5 days, 7 days, 10 days, 15 days, 30 days)

Hotels
There is a four-star hotel inside the training center, The Henan Zen International Hotel, it will be convenient and comfortable to stay. However, it will be kind of expensive for a long period stay. Students dormitories are also provided in the center. But the rooms may be not enough in the peak season and each have to be shared by 2 to 6 students. Students will be arranged in other hotels nearby the temple if no rooms available.

Traveling Tips
By air
If you travel for the first time to China, we recommend to fly to Zhengzhou (the capital of Henan province). There is no bus directly arrive in shaolin. So you should go by taxi or contact us earlier for picking up. The communication with the taxi-driver should be no big problem because everyone knows and understands the word "shaolin". The best thing would be to write down the Chinese characters for Shao Lin Si (少林寺） and the price you want to pay. The trip should cost 300 Yuan at minimal. It takes about 1 and a half hours ( about 90 km distance) on expressway to get to shaolin.
By High-speed Train
It is also very convenient from Beijing to Zhengzhou by high-speed train. You shall go the Beijing Western Station (Beijing Xi Zhan) to buy a ticket to Zhengzhou.The high speed train( train number started with "G") is recommended. It only takes about 3 hours. You may go to the Shaolin Temple by taxi or bus. There is a bus station right opposite to the exit of the railway station. The buses to Dengfeng ( a small city 12 km away from Shaolin) go only by day (from 6:00 am to 19:00 pm) half an hour one shift. There you can buy a ticket for 25 yuan to Dengfeng. It takes 1 and a half hours ( about 80 km distance) on expressway. At the gate of Dengfeng Western Bus Station there is a minibus waiting outside directly to the shaolin temple. The minibus is convenient and takes only 5 Yuan to the Shaolin Temple. Every ten minutes there is one bus. You can also take a taxi from Dengfeng to Shaolin. The price is 35 Yuan.
